Home / Restore / Restoring a disk image
The Disk Image plugin allows to create a full system image backup (Bare metal recovery) for Windows. To restore this backup you will need the Windows installation disc (Windows 7, 8, 10, Server 2008 or newer are supported).
First insert the Windows setup disc and boot from the CD drive:
Click the "Repair your computer" link, then select the Troubleshoot option:
Continue with the Select a System Image Recovery option:
Windows will automatically detect backups on the local drives. You can specify a network location if system image is not listed here.
If your system image is part of a multi-source backup, you may need to manually extract and share the folder which contains the system image.
Click Finish to start the system recovery process.
Wait for the system restore to finish.
The computer will automatically reboot once the restoration process is done.
